A huge congratulations to the NTU SHARE team on the Desire2Excel 2010 Collaboration Award! There were a large number of entries into this category and I'm sure some very tough decisions to pick winners. Everyone on the team should be very proud! I know I consider myself very fortunate to be involved with this dedicated group of individuals!

Congratulations on this great milestone! This will be very exciting demonstration of potential that can be created when open resources are brought into the teaching and learning envrionment and making it much easier for instructors and students to leverage the resources.

Students

Thanks for mentioning the student scenario. I was going to blog on this this week. We have just begun requirements gathering for a similar scenario, giving students access to the LOR. Instead of the object being used within a course it would be used to support their own research, much in the same way they use web search.

Hi Vicki,
This is really useful! I will be looking at all of the web sites over the coming weeks and hoping to link to some of them on my NOW Learning Space.
I think the session planned for the new year on RSS feeds will be really useful.
Thank you for this - I am finding it all very enlightening!

Best wishes,
Sarah

It was just an informal presentation - providing an overview of the LOR so more like a demonstration really. Sorry it's not online.

I agree with Angela fully. It's very important to speak in a language that staff will relate to and understand. The Learning Repository provides opportunity to store an array of materials which may be but are not necessarily Learning Objects by stricter definitions. As we can see from user communities the strict definitions are not the important thing, the ability to find, use and re-use educational materials is. Once again, my kudos to the individuals in this project for looking at adoption and the cultural changes required as major components of the implementation.
